RepairCafeは2009年、オランダ・アムステルダムで始まりました。「壊れたら捨てる」が当たり前になった時代に、「直して使う」という選択肢を取り戻そうという活動です。今では世界2,500ヶ所以上で開催。服、家具、家電、自転車、食器、おもちゃなど、身の回りのあらゆるモノの修理にチャレンジしています。壊れたモノを持参した方と、修理の知識がある方が出会い、一緒に修理に取り組む。お茶を飲みながら、世間話をしながら。そんな場所です。福岡では、私たちSWANOIRがRepair Café International公認メンバーとして運営。定期的にオランダ本部のイベントにも参加し、世界の修理ノウハウを福岡に持ち帰っています。
RepairCafe began in Amsterdam, Netherlands in 2009. In an era where "throw it away when it breaks" had become the norm, this movement aims to restore "fix it and keep using it" as a viable choice. Now held in over 2,500 locations worldwide, we take on the challenge of repairing all kinds of everyday items - clothes, furniture, appliances, bicycles, tableware, toys, and more.It's a place where people with broken items meet those with repair knowledge, and work together to fix things. All while having tea and chatting. That's the kind of place it is.In Fukuoka, we at SWANOIR operate as an official member of Repair Café International. We regularly participate in events at the Dutch headquarters, bringing global repair know-how back to Fukuoka.

We can source parts through our Dutch network. We also accept consultations for other brands of e-bikes.

基本的にどんなモノでも、まずは見させていただきます。私たちで対応できない場合は、適切な専門店をご紹介します。Basically, we'll take a look at anything. If we can't handle it ourselves, we'll refer you to an appropriate specialist shop.
製品の修理には、製造元の保証や専門修理店の技術など、多くの関係者の信頼関係が不可欠です。私たちは製品保証を損なうことのないよう慎重に修理の可否を判断し、必要に応じて専門修理店への橋渡しも行います。RepairCafeの活動は、既存の修理産業に取って代わるものではありません。むしろ「修理」という選択肢の価値を広く社会に示すことで、プロフェッショナルな修理業界全体の発展に貢献したいと考えています。製品保証との関係など、配慮すべき事項はまだ多くあります。このRepairCafe Fukuokaの取り組みを通して、日本における「修理文化」のあり方を探っていきます。Product repair requires trust relationships among many stakeholders, including manufacturer warranties and specialized repair shop expertise. We carefully assess whether repairs are possible without voiding product warranties, and when necessary, we connect customers with professional repair shops. RepairCafe activities are not meant to replace the existing repair industry. Rather, by demonstrating the value of "repair" as an option to society at large, we hope to contribute to the development of the entire professional repair industry. There are still many considerations regarding product warranties and other matters. Through RepairCafe Fukuoka, we're exploring what "repair culture" should look like in Japan.
「Cafe」という名前ですが、おしゃれなカフェではありません。IoT機器の開発作業場でやってます。工具と部品に囲まれた、ちょっと雑然とした空間です。お茶は出しますが、気が向いた時に抹茶を点てる程度。過度な期待はしないでください。Please Note - Despite the name "Cafe," this isn't a trendy coffee shop. We operate in an IoT device development workshop. It's a somewhat cluttered space surrounded by tools and parts. We do serve tea, but only matcha when we feel like making it. Please don't have high expectations.
正直なところ、本業の傍らでRepairCafeを運営しています。あまりに深刻な故障や、大きすぎる修理はお受けできないかもしれません。でも「思い出の品だから」「どうしても直したい」という気持ちには、できる限り応えたいと思っています。We Do This in Our Spare Time - We're not professional repair technicians - we run RepairCafe alongside our main jobs. We might not be able to handle extremely serious damage or repairs that are too large. However, we want to do our best to help with items that hold memories or things you really want fixed.
REPAIR CAFE Fukuokaでは様々な修理担当者がいますが、全ての従業員が常にここにいるわけではありません。「時計の人に見てほしい」「Eバイクの担当者はいる？」など、ご希望がある場合は事前予約をお勧めします。Staff Varies by Day - Various repair volunteers participate, but not everyone is present every time. If you have specific requests like "I want the watch specialist" or "Is the e-bike technician available?", we recommend making an advance reservation.
実はご来店の方の約8割が海外の方です。RepairCafeは、日本より海外での認知度が圧倒的に高いみたいです。簡単な英語での対応はできますが、電話での英語対応は難しいスタッフもいます。メールなどで事前にご連絡いただけると確実です。About 80% of Our Visitors Are International - RepairCafe is actually much better known overseas than in Japan. Many visitors come in familiar with the concept. While we can handle basic English communication, some staff find phone conversations in English challenging. Text messages via email ensure clearer communication.
